Laura Williams, DVM- Owner/Veterinarian
Dr. Laura Williams graduated from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989 and has been in private clinical practice since that time. Special interests include emergency critical care medicine, alternative medicine, and equine performance medicine. She holds advanced certification in Veterinary Acupuncture and is certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association in animal chiropractic. Currently Dr. Williams owns and practices at the Animal Emergency Hospital of St. Johns County.
Michael B.- Veterinary Technician
Michael joined the Animal Emergency Hospital team in January 2016. He has been a veterinary technician for 15 years and loves his job. Michael is married with 3 children, 3 dogs, 2 bearded dragons, and a ball python. When not working, Michael enjoys cooking, writing, and online gaming. He also enjoys performing live comedy at local open mics in St Augustine, Flagler Beach and Daytona.
Mary B.-Veterinary Technician
Mary moved to Florida in 2004, from Las Vegas, NV. She has 3 children, all in their 20's. She is also a grandmother to a 7 and 1 year old. Animals are Mary's best friends. Forming attachments happens very easily, owning 7 dogs and 5 cats herself. She has been a veterinary technician for 2 years.
Cheryl S.- Veterinary Technician
Born and raised in New Jersey, I have always had a passion for helping animals since I was a little girl, taking in strays and volunteering at shelters. In 1988 I began working as a veterinary technician. In 1998 I moved to Florida and have continued to pursue my career working with both large and small animals, as well as exotics. I have worked at Animal Emergency Hospital for over 6 years, My specialty is neonatal care for puppies and kittens. Being very fond of giant breeds, I have a mastiff named Angus, two cats Malcolm and River, and a bearded dragon named Frankie.
Jena R.- Veterinary Technician
Jena has always expressed a love for animals and has always desired to work within the veterinary field. For the past 10 years, she has advanced her experience in veterinary medicine. Immediately out of high school, she began working at the Flagler County Humane Society, progressing to a kennel technician within a vet hospital, and eventually becoming a veterinary technician at Animal Emergency Hospital where she has worked since 2009. Known as the “Chihuahua Whisperer” among her coworkers, Jena has an amazing ability to handle even the most irritable of patients.
Mendy M.- Veterinary Technician
Mendy has been a veterinary technician at Animal Emergency Hospital since 2007. While working here, she has gained a great appreciation for the high pace and rapid response of working in an emergency facility. This experience has helped immensely with her work as a police dispatch for the past 3 years. In her free time, she loves spending time at the dog park with her rescued greyhound, Gus.
